Having ventured to South America in search of new flavors back in 2013, our founder fatefully stumbled upon the spice that would forever change her life. A spicy condiment that is widely served at restaurants and cafes located in the country of Chile and the surrounding regions, Merken charms the senses with a delectable flavor and an enticing aroma.

Upon returning back home to the United States, she soon realized finding authentic merken in these parts was nearly impossible. This is when she set out to share the wonders of this exotic spice with those who enjoy placating an adventurous palette. Not only did she fall in love with the deliciousness of merken – She also discovered an appreciation for its versatility. One of the most versatile spices on earth, merken can be used as a rub, marinade, sauce or garnishment.
